What Is This?

Hello! My name is Chris Derrick and if you know me at all it’s probably because I have been, on occasion, good at running. That has been a wonderful career which has afforded me the time to read, think, and patiently explain to my friends and family why my opinions are right and theirs are wrong. Alas, monologuing on a run or haranguing my fiancé while she tries to relax after work does not discipline my opinions quite like writing them out for strangers to pick apart. Thus, this blog.

I don’t have a set project, other than to write about the things that I think are interesting. If you find them interesting as well- great! If you do not, well, no hard feelings- it’s a big internet out there.

(P.S. No the name of this blog is not a reference to all the times I lost to Lawi Lalang- and actually that was a very hurtful question, thank you very much! It’s about this.)
